A Day in the Life of a Resident in our Retirement Community

A day spent at Wellington on the Lake would begin by waking up after a very restful night’s sleep, to beautiful vistas of the golf course, quiet country surroundings and an abundance of fresh air. A typical morning in our retirement community would include having coffee with neighbours and friends, sitting out on a deck in the sunshine while reading the morning paper, or preparing for a round of golf at the nearby Wellington on the Lake Golf Course. Some people like to start their day off with a swim in the heated outdoor pool, a workout at the exercise room or some tennis at the private court.

The afternoon is made up of a number of activities, if so desired, or an afternoon could be spent by a pleasant walk in the refreshing lake breezes, or touring the countryside to check out local restaurants, wineries and shops.

There are many opportunities to socialize and have fun with your fellow Wellington on the Lake residents. Our retirement community includes organized games or activities such as billiards, bridge, scrap-booking, aqua-fitness, aerobics and yoga classes, computer club, dancing, crafts, woodworking and much, much more.

Dinner is usually spent relaxing with a fresh bottle of local wine, while feasting on the vast array of local produce, cheeses and meats that has made The County so popular with some of the top chefs in Canada. As the day comes to an end, there is lots to look forward in the days to come: lots of friends to catch up with, new places to check out and tons of beautiful scenery to take in.
